To be in Your Arms Once More

Michael Camarata

I will assign gravity to your rotation:
From outrage to sadness.
After suicide, elation is scarce
And long nights fill the fleeting day,
Luring friends to process appetites.

No longer can I hide
My disappointment,
My anguish.

Had a dream last night
That I was in your arms again.
No better love!
My elation knew no bounds.
Then I woke to silence.
